I promised a few people that I would post my sales figures for the month of Jan and Feb 2011. While I am not posting actually sales, I am posting the number of books I have sold. Here goes:
Jan 2011 With no promoting whatsoever
Amazon: 5 books
Smashwords: 3 books
Barnes and Noble: 0
Feb 2011 Starting to promote
Amazon: 12 books
Smashwords: 4 books
Barnes and Noble: 2 books
March 2011 For the first 2 days
Amazon: 2 books
Smashwords: 3 Books
It is not much from what I have been reading around on sales, but for me this is great. It shows that my promoting has an impact. I have also been told that having more than one book is needed. Three was the key. So I am working on the second book!

ReplyDeleteIf you go over to Dean Wesley Smith's blog, his contention is that having more stuff available - short stories, novellas, novels - will go a long way towards promotion.
Just thought I'd throw that out there.
BTW, I live in a really small town (by New Jersey standards), and we don't have any traffic lights, lol. ;-)
